I asked Jesus to have coffee with me this morning.
It is a beautiful Fall morning, peaceful and quiet.
I wanted to talk to Jesus about many things that are over whelming in my life.
He is a perfect listener.
He comforts me and helps me focus.
My worries seem to become trivial as he resolves them one by one.
Have coffee with Jesus. He will never say no. It is the perfect way to start the day.
Invite Him into your heart. Share your thoughts.
He will renew your heart with gladness.
Want someone to have coffee with? Jesus is always available!
God bless,

Hiking and Cohen
Cohen is my hiking partner.
For some reason, it is hard for me to find a person who loves to hike the outdoors as much as I do.
God has blessed me with my little Cohen who loves to be outside feeling the wind in her hair just as much as I do.
Yesterday, Co and I each had a hiking stick [good for knocking spiders out of the way] and we hiked around my property for a few hours.
We explored trees, and found out they have eyes and noses! We gathered pine cones and picked lavender and enjoyed watching squirrels run and play.
I look forward to many outdoor adventures with my Co.
Just one of my many blessings from God.

Jesus
You are always on my mind.
You are always in my heart.
When the world becomes too much, and I don't know where to start;
I turn to You.

Misty Saturday
I love this misty Saturday!
I believe it was sent from God for a good friend of mine whose birthday is today.
My friend needed a well deserved day to relax. This weather calls for a cozy fire and a
good book.
It smells of Fall outside. It smells like pumpkin custard in my house. I baked some pumpkin
deserts. Good for the senses and a power food for the body.
God bless,

Early to Rise
I woke up at 4:45 this morning and am loving every minute of it! Last night I wrote a list of things to do today and I think I will be able to check most of them off! One thing on my list is to go through my clothes closet and take items I have not worn to consignment. I hate to say it but I have clothes hanging in my closet that have been there for more then a year and I have yet to wear them.
I am still delighting in the fun I had over last weekend. Ryder and Paula came to Salem and we were able to spend the whole time together and with the rest of the family. [All my kids and grand daughters.] Great grand parents too. We missed Vin, because he had to work. Ryder said in an email yesterday he hopes to see Vin when they return for another visit in October. We LOVE our Vinny and don't know what we would do without him in our family.
OK. The oven is pre-heated and it is time to start baking.
God bless,

My Auntie Lova
I have SO many special people in my life, but I have to say one of the most dear to my heart is my Auntie Lova. She is my Mother's sister, and the closest person to a second mother to me.
Sadly to say, my Aunt Lova passed away last Saturday September 5, 2009.
Sad, because she will be missed by us all here on earth. My cousin Lee, her son, has lost his mother. He is a wonderful, loving man, and Aunt Lova loved him more then anything else in the world. He protected her, and took care of her the last years of her life.
I woke up Saturday morning at 4:00 am and listened the pouring rain coming down. I felt wide awake and enjoyed the soothing sound of rain falling and the fresh smell carried by a gentle breeze blowing through my window. As I lay in my bed cuddled with my warm comforter I thanked Jesus for the cross and the rain. I felt His warm touch on my shoulder and I knew He was there. Contented as I fell back to sleep asking Him to watch over my children and granddaughters and family, I fell back to sleep.
At 11:00 am that same morning, my Mother called and told me my Auntie Lova had passed away at 4:00 am that morning.
Auntie Lova knew God, and she spoke of Jesus always. Her last days on earth she talked about "precious Jesus" and said she wanted to go be with Him. She had no fear. She knew Jesus was coming to take her by the hand and lead her home.
That is what made her so special in my heart. Aunt Lova never doubted for a second that Jesus is Savior.
Auntie Lova gave me my first bible. I cherrish it and it is the only bible I like to read from.
I love you Aunt Lova. I have many beautiful fun memories of you that live on in my heart. I look forward to being with you again.
God bless.
