Butterflies and zebras and moonbeams and fairy tales and all she ever talks about is riding with the wind.
Those are lyrics from a song written and sung by Sting. They also sum-up what it is like to spend time with my little Cohen. Life becomes a wonderland of awe and excitement. Magical.
I was awakened this morning to a bright light shining in my bathroom. I thought I left my little night light on. When I got up to check I saw it was coming from the window. My first thought was the neighbors had left their spot light on as they do from time to time and it shines through my bathroom window. I opened the window and to my surprise there it was...A huge round bright white moon shining a moonbeam right inside! I was amazed! It was SO pretty and clear and bright. I stood at my window and stared out to the wonderland it had created. A wonderland lit-up by moon light. Of course I thought of Cohen and how she would love seeing it and of all the people I know, she, like me would enjoy going outside and playing and dancing in the moon light!
I hope your life is magical and glittered with moon dust. Just a few gifts from God that are free for the taking. Moonbeams, and fairy tales, and riding with the wind.
God bless!

A Passage A Day
The first thing I do when I awaken is thank our Father God for Jesus and Jesus for the cross. I know life would not exist without the love of Christ.
I also read a passage a day from the bible. It is amazing how good it makes me feel to start my day with His word. A passage a day keeps the darkness away.
God bless.

Morning, the beginning of a new day.
How special a morning can be. Leaving yesterday behind. Morning is a gift. A blank canvas to paint the day ahead.
May God bless you this morning.

God Created Carrots for us and Bunnies
Did you know that one little carrot a day slashes your risk of stroke by 68%?!!!!!!! Science has shown the nutrient beta-carotene to be God's "wonder drug" against the most feared diseases of our age, including cancer, heart attack and stroke. Beta-carotene is found in abundance in brightly colored veggies like carrots, pumpkins, sweet potatoes, and red peppers.
People who REGULARLY eat even small amounts of these foods enjoy unbelievable protection against cancer, heart disease and stroke. A large scale Harvard Study found that eating just one carrot a day cuts your risk of stroke. There's just one catch. If you want beta-carotene's magnificent protection against killer disease, you MUST get it from carrots or other foods rich in beta-carotene...Not from supplements. Scientest say it is because beta-carotene has at least 500 siblings, collectively known as carotenoids. Many haven't been discovered by science and there is the may be may be scores more we do not even know about.
Happy carrot eating!

Strawberries and Raspberries are a Gift From God
Prevent cancer with strawberries and raspberries. A compound called ellagic acid is one of the most potent cancer fighters God ever created. Studies prove that if you have cancer cells anywhere in your body [and you may not know it], ellagic acid ferociously attacks them, helping your immune system destroy them and shutting off their ability to multiply. Ellagic acid cannot be absorbed by the human bloodstream very well. So it does not do a lot of good to take it in tablet form. You have to eat the foods that have it: STRAWBERRIES and RASPBERRIES. When you eat these luscious fruits, you unleash this mighty anti-cancer warrior throughout your bloodstream to help vanquish cancer cells on contact.
Every Summer our Grampy grows the most wonderful yummy crop of strawberries. He shares them with all of us loading-up our immune system with ellagic acid for the Winter months ahead. Strawberries are one of Cohen's favorites and she loves visiting Great Grandpa and going out to his garden where they pick strawberries togehter. It is a memory Co will always find special in her heart.
So don't forget to eat your strawberries and raspberries!

The Miracles Given by God
I am a health nut. I know that if one does not have their health, then living life becomes limited. Without feeling well, we miss out on a lot of wonderful events and adventures life has to offer. One would hope that everyone would take advantage of the miracles of the earth given to us from God. He created a variety of miracle foods to keep us running happily.
In a study at the University of Michigan, researchers found that the natural food compound glutathione works like magic in keeping your weight down. It is one of God's most powerful substances for keeping you trim and healthy.
Moreover, researchers discovered that people who eat more glutathione are not only much slimmer, but as added benefits, they also enjoy lower blood pressure, lower cholesterol, and much greater protection against a wide range of cancers. Foods richest in glutathione include WINTER SQUASH, AVOCADOS, GRAPEFRUIT, ORANGES, TOMATOES, and POTATOES.

My Beautiful Cousin Lee
I have a beautiful cousin named Lee. He just had a triple by-pass and will be leaving the hospital tomorrow. Please say a pray for him. He just lost his mother, and returned home from Iowa where she was laid to rest and was hit with this unexpected heart problem! I just hung up from talking to him on the phone. He sounded strong and positive. He loves Jesus and I know his faith will carry him through this difficult time. I love him. I carry him around in my heart and wish I could see him and chat. Life is SOOOOOOOO precious. My Lee is precious.

God's Great Wonders
For the past week I have been viewing a series on National Parks on the History Channel.
I do not know how long the series will continue, but I know there will be one tonight. If you have the chance to watch, it begins at 8:00 P.M. on channel 10. We are truly fortunate to have public access to God's Great Wonders.
My true love is Crater Lake. I visit it once or twice a year. I enjoy photographing it's ever changing mood. One day it can be the most brilliant blue, and in a matter of hours, sometimes minutes, it will change to hues of gorgeous green. I have always felt that God chose the color of my sons eyes from the blue tones of Crater Lake. My daughter's lovely soft green eyes were chosen from the Crater's hues of green.
I will always be fond of Yellowstone. My Mother and I took a rode trip and stayed there when I was 15. I want to go back again.
I'm jazzed, and want to start traveling and visiting all of God's Great Wonders.

Coffee with Jesus
I asked Jesus to have coffee with me this morning.
It is a beautiful Fall morning, peaceful and quiet.
I wanted to talk to Jesus about many things that are over whelming in my life.
He is a perfect listener.
He comforts me and helps me focus.
My worries seem to become trivial as he resolves them one by one.
Have coffee with Jesus. He will never say no. It is the perfect way to start the day.
Invite Him into your heart. Share your thoughts.
He will renew your heart with gladness.
Want someone to have coffee with? Jesus is always available!

Hiking and Cohen
Cohen is my hiking partner.
For some reason, it is hard for me to find a person who loves to hike the outdoors as much as I do.
God has blessed me with my little Cohen who loves to be outside feeling the wind in her hair just as much as I do.
Yesterday, Co and I each had a hiking stick [good for knocking spiders out of the way] and we hiked around my property for a few hours.
We explored trees, and found out they have eyes and noses! We gathered pine cones and picked lavender and enjoyed watching squirrels run and play.
I look forward to many outdoor adventures with my Co.
Just one of my many blessings from God.

Misty Saturday
I love this misty Saturday!
I believe it was sent from God for a good friend of mine whose birthday is today.
My friend needed a well deserved day to relax. This weather calls for a cozy fire and a
good book.
It smells of Fall outside. It smells like pumpkin custard in my house. I baked some pumpkin
deserts. Good for the senses and a power food for the body.

Early to Rise
I woke up at 4:45 this morning and am loving every minute of it! Last night I wrote a list of things to do today and I think I will be able to check most of them off! One thing on my list is to go through my clothes closet and take items I have not worn to consignment. I hate to say it but I have clothes hanging in my closet that have been there for more then a year and I have yet to wear them.
I am still delighting in the fun I had over last weekend. Ryder and Paula came to Salem and we were able to spend the whole time together and with the rest of the family. [All my kids and grand daughters.] Great grand parents too. We missed Vin, because he had to work. Ryder said in an email yesterday he hopes to see Vin when they return for another visit in October. We LOVE our Vinny and don't know what we would do without him in our family.
OK. The oven is pre-heated and it is time to start baking.

My Auntie Lova
I have SO many special people in my life, but I have to say one of the most dear to my heart is my Auntie Lova. She is my Mother's sister, and the closest person to a second mother to me.
Sadly to say, my Aunt Lova passed away last Saturday September 5, 2009.
Sad, because she will be missed by us all here on earth. My cousin Lee, her son, has lost his mother. He is a wonderful, loving man, and Aunt Lova loved him more then anything else in the world. He protected her, and took care of her the last years of her life.
I woke up Saturday morning at 4:00 am and listened the pouring rain coming down. I felt wide awake and enjoyed the soothing sound of rain falling and the fresh smell carried by a gentle breeze blowing through my window. As I lay in my bed cuddled with my warm comforter I thanked Jesus for the cross and the rain. I felt His warm touch on my shoulder and I knew He was there. Contented as I fell back to sleep asking Him to watch over my children and granddaughters and family, I fell back to sleep.
At 11:00 am that same morning, my Mother called and told me my Auntie Lova had passed away at 4:00 am that morning.
Auntie Lova knew God, and she spoke of Jesus always. Her last days on earth she talked about "precious Jesus" and said she wanted to go be with Him. She had no fear. She knew Jesus was coming to take her by the hand and lead her home.
That is what made her so special in my heart. Aunt Lova never doubted for a second that Jesus is Savior.
Auntie Lova gave me my first bible. I cherrish it and it is the only bible I like to read from.
I love you Aunt Lova. I have many beautiful fun memories of you that live on in my heart. I look forward to being with you again.
God bless.

Isla
Yesterday I was holding Isla while her Mommy got things ready to take her to the doctor for a routine check. She is too beautiful for words. I cradled her and sang softly to her and she smiled! And she smiled, and she smiled, and she made little I love you sounds. She stole my heart and threw away the key!
I wish everyone on earth could experience these moments in life. I know if they did, their world would change, and even if just for a moment, they would feel God's presence.
I can feel angels near when my granddaughters are with me. It is the essence of purity and innocence. Love that has no ending, and trust stronger then the sun shining from the Summer sky.
May God bless your day, and give you the inner feeling that life is too good to be true!

Cookies for Quinn
I am making and baking a thousand cookies for Quinn. They are for his wedding. It was actually a request from Katy when we first learned she and Quinn were getting married. That was in January, and now the wedding date is approaching!! Yesterday I baked 300. Today I will try to beat that record. I miss counted them yesterday and thought I baked 400, so it is my goal for today!
The first thing I do when I wake up is open up my house and turn on my oven. The mornings are cool and the fresh air pours in. After I am finished baking for the day, I close up my house and turn on the air conditioner. My system has worked so far!
I also have committed to one thousand chicken and salmon wraps! As soon as all the cookies are made, I will begin the wraps. I will freeze everything until the wedding.
P.S. All my baking is made with love and joy. I love to bake and create yummy treats for people to enjoy.......so do not feel sorry for me. It is a passion of mine. An addiction!

The Human Body
The human body is like any other machine. If you put something bad in it, it will not operate like it should. I am a super health freak and have experimented with my body when it comes to what it needs to feel energized and happy.
I bought some canned chicken at the store to make chicken salad. When I got it home I read the ingredients [something I normally do before purchase.] It had "sodium phosphate" in it.
We all know sodium is salt. But the phosphate part is what changes the purity. I did my research and found phosphates are in cleaning agents and in food to help oils from separating. I also learned sodium phosphate is/or was in drugs used to induce bowel movements and a product called Fleet had to recall all the Fleet products because the sodium phosphate was known/or found to cause kidney damage. Of course the levels of sodium phosphate in these products were huge.
I found the only place safe to buy chemical free canned goods in town is "Life Source." They will not sell anything that is not healthy. We might pay a little more, but it is worth it.
I just wish more people would pay attention to what they are buying and eating. I want the people I love to live a long healthy life.
Please watch out for bad chemicals in food products. They cause cancer and make a person's body feel tired and sluggish. They can deplete the body and brain of essential minerals needed for energy and well being. If your liver has to store too many of these bad chemicals they will come out on your skin as moles and tags and red and white bumps. This is how the body gets the stuff out of the blood stream and organs. If it is not able to release the bad stuff in this form, then the poison attacks the good cells and cancer begins to grow.
"You are what you eat."
May God bless you today with all His healthy natural food sources. Pray about it, and try a week of pure food, chemical free. You will feel the difference and never want to go back to feeling tired and unhappy.

ISLA REESE
Yesterday I went to visit Isla and got to hold her for a while. She is beautiful and captures my whole being. Her tiny little self is the most precious array of sweetness and innocence. Perfect in every way.
I can't believe how fortunate I am?!!! Two absolutely beautiful granddaughters.
I "thank God for them everyday."
God's gifts of love are unmeasurable!

Materialism
My church sermon this morning was on materialism. Worshiping the Gods of Materialism. People become so wrapped-up in what they think they need/'A BIGGER HOUSE, A NEWER CAR, A NEWER COMPUTER, ETC." they forget to be thankful for what they DO have and they stop counting their blessings and thanking God for what He has given them.
These people just become more unhappy to the point where they can't enjoy the things they already have and they stop making the most of what God has blessed them with. Instead of being patient and appreciative, they become complainers who do not accept God's gifts.
I truly believe people need to be THANKFUL for what they have, and good stewards of what they are given financially before God will continue to bless them and give them more.
The woman who takes her tiny little home and makes it a castle for her husband and family is the woman who finds favor in the eyes of The Lord.
Our Father God knows our hearts.
May God bless your thankful heart today, and may you love Him with all your heart and be THANKFUL FOR ALL YOU HAVE BEEN GIVEN.

It's a Wonderful Life
I am truly enjoying a wonderful life!
We have SO much celebration going on in our family with our new Isla coming to join us, and the marriage of Katy and Quinn.
We just enjoyed a bridal shower for Katy and now we are waiting for Isla to come into our lives.
I can't wait to hold her in my arms and get to know her. What does her little face look like? What color will her hair be?
I'm really looking forward to spending time alone with Cohen while Mommy and Daddy go to the hospital in the event of Isla being born.
Our beautiful Summer weather is another added bonus. Katy's mom Renata invited my good friend Linda and I and Linda's daughter Brook to hike with her last Sunday at her favorite forest. It was Linda's first hike! The warm weather in the cool of all the trees in the forest made for a perfect hike. I think Linda is now hooked and I can't wait to go with her again!
Life has been busy. Almost three weeks ago I went to Seattle and had a nice visit with Ryder. The city view from the Hotel I stayed at was amazing! I could see the heart of the city and also the bay. At nightfall when the city lit up as well as the ships on the water it was spectacular!!!!
I'm ready to back again. As soon as our little Isla is here and all is well, I will be pack up and go. I miss Ryder SO much. He will be coming to Salem to spend a few days for his brother's wedding and I can't wait.
I have been reading my bible from the beginning and getting to know God's heart again. I call it a refresher course, as I have read through the bible before. Each time I learn more and feel closer to my heavenly Father.
I honestly do not know how non-believers make it in this world? My overall health, heart and well being all comes through knowing our Father God and our Savior Jesus.
Every breath I take, and every thought I think is in sink with God. He is the meditation of my heart. The more I meditate, the more I feel His Holy presence. The warm embrace on my shoulder and the calming feeling only He can give.
It's a wonderful life!
God bless, xo

I like the word shower. I love rain showers and I love having showers for people. Yesterday I had a baby shower for my beautiful Kesha at my house. It turned out fun with a lot of supportive loving friends who blessed her with darling Isla Reese items.
Next, I look forward to having a bridal shower for our Katy Cutie. Our family has a lot to look forward to this Summer. Isla coming into the world, and our Quinn and Katy are getting married.
It is all blessings from God.
God bless! xo

Kesha and Isla's Shower
Yesterday I threw a baby shower for Kesh. It was fun and delightful, with a great turn-out of supportive people. [All Women]
I really enjoy entertaining and hosting. The baking part is my favorite. Now I am looking forward to having a bridal shower for our Katy.
This is an exciting Summer for our family.

Summer and Health
Now that our lovely weather has arrived it's SO wonderful I feel as though I have been given a huge bonus from God.
Waking up each morning to Hawaii like weather reminds me of His faithfulness.
I feel healthy and happy; and with all the yummy fruits in season and available one just can't eat badly.
Summer and health go hand-in-hand.
Happy Summer! God bless,

Summertime Snow Flakes
I was outside today watching it snow from my deck. Sitting on a lawn chair looking up at the blue sky, I saw thousands of little white cotton fuzz balls falling from the sky........They are Summertime Snow Flakes!
Cohen brought them to my attention when we were playing in the pool and sunning ourselves last Thursday. She said "look Gamma, snowing!" It has been snowing ever since.
God bless, xo

Ice Cream Weather!
It is like the yummiest ice cream with lots of favorite sprinkles; this beautiful sunny weather!
I love it! I enjoyed sitting on my mom and dad's patio this morning just chatting with them and soaking up the warm rays.
It is delightful and happy!
After the rain and the cool it is a most appreciated treat!
"Thank you God. You know our hearts and what we need."

Fun Saturday!
I picked up kesh this morning and we drove out into the country to a bridal shower for our Katy. It is so much fun to attend the pre-wedding events and dwell on cutie Katy and Quinn, soon to become one. I especially enjoy talking with Katy's Mom and Sister. Getting to know them is great; and knowing we will all be family soon is even better. God could not have chosen a more lovely girl for our Quinn. They are truly a match!
I love all the blessings in my life. Katy's beautiful mommy is such a joy! We have a lot in common and it is refreshing to be around someone so pretty, sweet, kind and healthy. She is on fire for God as well!!! I look forward to sharing our children's new life together.

Weather!
Yesterday was SOOOOOOO nice outside; I had to make myself do my inside chores [ with a chip on my shoulder] because the Sunshine kept calling my name!
This morning, being in, is not so bad.
It is a perfect morning to bake some yummy recipes I have been wanting to try.
Tip of the day from me:
The warm, beautiful weather is just around the corner, so get the inside stuff done, so you're able to spend time outside when it arrives. That is what days off are for!
Love and God bless, xo

Word of Mouth Bistro
There is a new eatery in town called Word of Mouth Bistro. It is on 17th street right off of State if you are going West. The food is fabulous and the atmosphere is warm and people oriented. I will be visiting it today for my third time. My good friend Linda introduced it to me, and now I want to share the news with you!
All the food is healthy and made from scratch. Right up my alley! Anyone who knows me, knows I am a SUPER HEALTH FREAK!!! The bread and buns they use are made from our own Cascade Bakery. [organic and pure.] One does not have to worry about their burger's bun being spoiled with with chemicals like mono-diglycerides, sodium stearoyl lactylate and mold inhibitors such as calcium propionate. I shiver at the thought of my little Cohey ingesting these chemicals.
So this morning, Cohen, Kesh and I are dining at Word of Mouth Bisrto and then going walking at River Front Park afterword. What a healthy way to start our day!
I have to mention another restaurant in town, since I am talking about healthy and made from scratch. It is Alessandro's located down town on Commercial Street. I personally know the chef Mickael and he makes everything from scratch as well. His salads and dressing are delicious and one never has to worry about msg in anything. You would be surprised at how many restaurants sneak it into their food, [especially salad dressings.]
Alessandro's, like Word of Mouth Bistro are yummy, afordable, healthy places to dine. So next time you are thinking lunch, try them.
Happy Eating!

GOOD FRIDAY
Today is the day Jesus died nailed to the cross.
On the third day, Easter, he rose from the dead.
As He hung on the cross He said "I'm thirsty." A jar of sour wine was sitting there, so a sponge was soaked in it and put on a hyssop branch and held up to His lips.
When Jesus had tasted it, He said "It is finished," and bowed His head and dismissed His spirit.
Early Sunday morning, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb and found that the stone was rolled aside from the entrance.
Mary was standing outside crying. And as she wept, she stooped and looked in and saw two white-robed angels sitting at the head and foot of the place where the body of Jesus had been lying.
"Why are you crying?" the angels asked her.
"Because they have taken away my Lord," she replied, "and I don't know where they have put Him."
She glanced over her shoulder and saw someone standing behind her. It was Jesus, but she did not recognize Him!
"Why are you crying?" He asked her. "Whom are you looking for?" She thought He was the gardener. "Sir," she said, "if you have taken Him away, tell me where you have put Him, and I will go and get Him."
"Mary!" Jesus said. She turned toward Him.
"Master!" she exclaimed.
"Do not touch me He cautioned, "for I have not yet ascended to the Father, my God, and your God.

Before I Start My Day
Before I start my day, and go out into the world about my business, I pray, and "thank God for Jesus, and I "thank Jesus for the cross."
I have been blessed with the sweetest little grand daughter. Sharing her joy and fun on her second birthday is a treasured keepsake in my heart. Seeing, and holding the beautiful babies at the party and playing with Cohey and her friends brought to light all that Jesus has given us. The gift of life. He traded His, for ours.
My Love for Jesus is unmeasurable, and the glory he deserves is more than I can put into words.
Good Friday is almost here, and Easter Sunday is near.
I pray all may know Him, and have a heart like Jesus.
I pray those who never met Him will meet Him.
And from the bible I quote, words from our precious Savior and Lord Jesus Christ:
"A farmer went out to his field to sow grain. As he scattered the seed on the ground, some of it fell on a footpath and was trampled on; and the birds came and ate it as it lay exposed. Other seed fell on shallow soil with rock beneath. This seed began to grow, but soon withered and died for lack of moisture. Other seed landed in thistle patches, and young grain stalks were soon choked out. Still other fell on fertile soil; this seed grew and produced a crop one hundred times as large as he planted." [As he was giving this illustration he said, "If anyone has listening ears, use them now!']
His apostles asked Him what the story meant.
He replied, "God has granted you to know the meaning of these parables, for they tell a great deal about the Kingdom of God. But these crowds here the words but do not understand, just as the ancient prophets predicted.
"This is its meaning: The seed is God's message to men. The hard path where some seed fell represents the hard hearts of those who hear the words of God, but then the devil comes and steals the words away and prevents people from believing and being saved. The stony ground represents those who enjoy listening to sermons, but somehow the message never really gets through to them and doesn't take root and grow. They know the message is true, and sort of believe for awhile; but when the hot winds of persecution blow, they lose interest. The seeds among the thorns represents those who listen and believe God's words but whose faith afterwords is choked out by worry and riches and the responsibilities and pleasures of life. And so they are never able to help anyone else to believe the Good News.
"But the good soil represents honest, good-hearted people. They listen to God's words and cling to them and steadily spread them to others who also soon believe.
{Another time He asked,] "Who ever heard of someone lighting a lamp and then covering it up to keep it from shining? No, lamps are mounted in the open where they can be seen. This illustrates the fact that someday [ everything in men's hearts] shall be brought to light and made plain to all. So be careful how you listen; for whoever has, to him shall be given more; and whoever does not have, even what he thinks he has shall be taken away from him.
A gift to you today from our Creator, the Sunshine and Warmth and Blue Sky topped off with a Gentle Breeze.
May you enjoy this day in Christ Jesus.

A Beautiful Spring Day
SO, wake up in the morning with your windows open.
Don't hold in your anger or leave things unspoken.
Where your red dress, and use your best dishes.
Go outside and have fun, and make lots of wishes............
Tomorrow is my birthday, and the fun begins today! I get to celebrate with my family tonight at Alessandro's. Mickael, [ the chef there] makes the most delicious food in the United States. It is the perfect dining experience, and the deserts [especially the cre'me brulee] are the best in the world!
It's off to Seattle with Kesha for the weekend to have a blast with Ryder.
I love birthdays!
God bless, xo

Cohen and I
Cohen and I had a nice evening together last night. I picked her up at her house at 4:00 and we headed back to my house. We could not wait to color with the new washable markers I bought. We drew some awesome drawings of balloons and hearts, flowers and trees, and eyes. They were Cohen's choices.
We popped popcorn the old fashion way in a big deep cast iron skillet and laughed every time we lifted the lid and the popcorn jumped out!
We built a tall tower with wood blocks and watched in amazement went it finally fell over.
We read books about farm animals and remembered how much fun we had at The Petting Zoo last week. The little goats are our favorite.
We made-up a dance routine to the Beattles "Hard Days Night" album, and then after dancing up a storm, refreshed ourselves with an all natural root beer float.
Then it was off to Great Grandma and Grandpa's to visit and explore all of their nic/nac's.
Great Grandma always has yummy snacks a juice and fun toys.
I am SO blessed to have my Cohen. She brings out the child in me, and all my cares are left behind when we are together.
How blessed am I?!!!!!!!

Seattle
It is way too awesome to have a son living in Seattle!
Ryder invited me to come to Seattle for the weekend of my birthday. He has booked a room for me and we have made plans for dining out, catching a movie, shopping and visiting Pike's Market. One of the greatest things about the trip is Kesh and I are going together. It will be a last adventure together before Co's sister is born.
Anyway, I am looking SO forward to it!

Bright Sunshiney Day
It is going to be a bright sunshiney day! It feels good to see the sun. We do appreciate every little ray when we get it here in Salem! I have noticed a lot of little Spring flowers poking their heads up from the ground. My Dad's lawn is full of pretty little purple crocus, a first sign of Spring.
May God bless this beautiful day!

Sad Cloud [For Dean]
There is a sad cloud in the sky today.
It is sad when someone has gone away.
Away from us here on earth.
There was no time to say good bye, You left us with only tears to cry.
The Angels have come and taken You home,
and now You will never be alone.
Safe with Jesus in peace and love, You are now as free as a beautiful dove.

Coffee in the Snow
I woke up and made my coffee as I always do first thing in the morning. [I simply can't function until I have my cup of coffee in hand.] Next step is opening my blinds to see what the world around me looks like. To my surprise everything was covered in white!!!!!!
Bundled in my warmest coziest bathrobe with cup of hot java in hand, I went out to my new patio table and chairs and enjoyed coffee on my porch in the snow!!!!
Loving life and all it's precious moments.

Saturdays With Cohen
Saturday with Cohen is a bountiful bowl of joy and endless love.
We play outside and feel the wind on our face. We run and giggle and laugh without a care in the world. We talk to trees and give them hugs and take time to smell every Spring flower we find.
The world is our oyster and we have no time to be anything but happy!
I love my Cohey!

STARBUCKS AND FRIENDS
One of my favorite things is meeting friends at Starbucks and having great conversations with great beverages.
If I feel I have been working too much, and start missing my family or a good friend, I say enough is enough and make plans to go to one of my favorite Starbucks!
I feel blessed to have the special people that God has given me in my life and I love Him for the joy life, friends, family and good beverages at Starbucks brings!
The simplest things in life are the best.

Hot Chocolate
Here in Salem the snow is falling outside my door. It is the perfect morning for me to make a special "hot chocolate" recipe I saw on T.V. while watching a chef one morning. It is actually referred to as "sipping chocolate." Because it is very rich and savory, one can only sip and enjoy!
In your processor 2 tablespoons of shaved orange. Two sticks of cinnamon. Shaved vanilla bean.
A few almonds. Blend. Add to your choice of milk and simmer on the stove. Add a cup or two of the finest chocolate you can buy and bring to a boil stirring constantly. Once melted and blended pour through a strainer into desired cups. [You can top with whip cream if you like.]
Cuddle up on your sofa with your favorite blanket with cup of chocolate in hand and sip away!
God bless!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY BEAUTIFUL KESHA
Twenty five years ago today was a very special day. I gave birth to an angel. My beautiful daughter Kesha. She is my dream come true. It was a clear sunny bright day, and she was a ray of sunshine and light the minute she was born and said "hello" to the world. The joy and never ending love she gives is unmeasurable.
God blessed me with a gift twenty five years ago, my daughter, my Kesh, my sweet angel from Heaven who is now a wonderful loving mother herself, who has given me the gift of my darling little granddaughter Cohen. In July she will give more joy and happiness, making me a grandmother for the second time!
Today I wish her all the happiness, fun and love life can give in Christ Jesus.
"Happy birthday Kesh!" I love you!

What a Beautiful Sunday
What a beautiful Sunday!
Cold and frosty this morning, and dry and nice this afternoon.
I went out for a brisk walk and enjoyed the morning air.
I visited my Mommy and Grampy, and now am looking forward to having my Cohey at 4:00 today.
I think she and I will dine on fresh fries and popcorn chicken [homemade of course] with a green salad loaded with tomatoes and cheese and ranch dressing. I am making coconut creme pie for desert.
Afterward, between Super Bowl breaks, we will go outside and burn off the calories.
God bless!

Get Out and Walk! We Live in Oregon!
Feeling tired and sluggish? Get out and walk! Do you have two legs? Then you can do it! It is free and we are fortune to live in a country where we are free to roam.
It is amazing what a little fresh air and body- in- motion can do for one's spirit.
Please don't complain about the weather. If it is cold out, just bundle-up. If it is raining go anyway. wear a hood and a rain coat.
I just talked to someone last night who just returned from a month away from Oregon. It was sunny and dry every day where she lived. She said she couldn't wait to return to beautiful green Oregon. What was suppose to be a two year move did not last but a month.
Sure, it was sunny and dry there; but the lush greenery was sacrificed for the dry weather, which didn't take long to dry out her nose and skin. She found herself longing for are variety of weather changes.
Maybe for all the people who complain about Oregon, a move away would do them good.
The woman I talked to last night highly recommends it.
She said people never appreciate what they have until it's gone!
OK, I am out the door now to enjoy a wonderful walk in Oregon!
God bless! xo

The Ecology Lyrics by Marvin Gaye
I love this song by Marvin Gaye. He wrote it in 1971, although it fits what is happening all over our globe right now.
I miss Bruce a lot when it comes to blogging my favorite songs. He and I shared the same interest in music. It was fun to chat with him about artists who were popular in the 70's. I know he would enjoy these lyrics by Marvin Gaye.
Mercy Mercy Me
[the ecology lyrics]
Oh mercy mercy me
Oh things aint what they use to be
No, no
Where did all the blue sky go?
Poison is the wind that blows
From the north, east and south and sea
Oh, mercy mercy me
Oh things aint what they use to be
No, no
Oil washed on the oceans and the seas
Fish full of mercury
Oh, mercy mercy me
Oh things aint what they use to be
No, no
Radiation in the ground and in the sky
Animals and birds who live near by are dying
Oh, mercy mercy me
Things aint what they use to be
What about this over crowded land?
How much more abuse from man can she stand?
My sweet Lord
My sweet Lord
My sweet Lord
I love the earth and the trees and the outdoors more then I love the city.
It might come from being raised in the country and having an entire forest for my back yard.
I played outside all day as a child and played in our nearby creek in the Summer time.
The song brings tears to my eyes.
I want the same things for my grandchildren. I want them to know and love the outdoors as my children did.
It is so important to smell fresh air and the scent of all the Seasons.
Cohen already loves trees. It is one of her words that comes out clear as a bell! She loves to go outside and touch the tree branches and feel the wind in her face.
Natural is healthy and the best thing for her tiny lungs.
I learned a week ago that it is factual that mercury from China is being carried by the wind to our end of the earth. Scientists found it in the soil in th Rocky Mountains.
We can never stop praying for the earth and the sky and doing everything we can to save it.
It is such a gift from our Creator God.
This was on my heart today and I needed to write about it.
God bless.

I Have to Pinch Myself
I have to pinch myself to make sure I am not dreaming. God has blessed my life with so many wonderful gifts!
Gift number one is my Cohen!!!!
She has stolen my heart and is a part of my life I can't live without.
Being a Grandmother is indescribably wonderful!
Being a Mother to my three children was the "love of my life," and now enjoying my little Granddaughter is a fun and rewarding time in my life.
Her smile and laugh is contagious and as bright as a "Sunny Summer Day." It could be foggy and dark outside, but when I am with my Cohey girl everything is bright!
She is the "Essence of Fun!"
We have developed a special bond. I felt it the first time I held her at the hospital.
When you have a Cohen in your life, troubles and anything negative fade away; melted away by her beautiful radiant brightness the covers me when ever I think of her.
Thank you God for Cohen.

BLUE SKY AND SUNSHINE
I am looking out my window at blue sky and sunshine.
I am watching tiny cute birds in the tree tops, and everything is covered in a frosty shimmer.
What beautiful gifts from our Father Creator.
I am going to count my blessings today and give Thanks to God for life.
I pray that anyone who reads this will enjoy a wonderful Saturday in God's Light.
Loves!

BEAUTIFUL MORNING
It's a beautiful morning; I think I'll go outside for a walk.
Just breathing the clean fresh air!
I am meeting my Quinn today at Starbuck's before we both
go to work for the evening.
I wish Vin and Ryder could join us. It would be the best to
have all three of my guys with me for coffee and fellowship.
How blessed am I? There are not enough stars in the sky to count!
God bless, xo

Breakfast With My Girls
What a wonderful way to start my day, having breakfast with my girls.
Kesha and Cohen are one of my gifts from God and I can't get enough of either of them!
I enjoyed hearing what Kesh had to say about her feelings for Christ, and we both agree
on the meditation of our heart being 100% in Christ and avoiding evil with all our might.
We had a good conversation about life, and the love we share for purity and grace.
Last night I read my bible that my precious Aunt Lova gave to me in 1985. My mother had told
me that she wasn't doing well emotionally and had called my cousin Lee crying on the phone.
This news broke my heart in two and I felt the need to pray exclusively for her.
Reading from the bible she had given me felt comforting. God's word is comforting.
I had not been sleeping well for a few nights; but after taking time to relax before bed last night,
and reading and praying; I finally fell asleep and slept like a baby.
Today I realized I had not been putting God first in my life, and had allowed too much of the
world to take control of my thoughts.
"Your words are a flashlight to light the path ahead of me,
and keep me from stumbling." Psalm 119:105
